Membership
- Library membership is free to residents of the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary.
- In order to obtain a library card, photo identification and a street address indicating proof of Rossland Public Library service area residency is required. (eg. driver's license, tax receipt, utility bill).
The parent or legal guardian must sign for children under the age of 14. - If you are new to town and don't have proof of residency, you can be issued a temporary card with picture ID. It is good for one month and will be converted to a permanent card when proof of residency is given. With a temprary card, youmay borrow five items at a time.
- If you are a BC resident living outside the RDKB, you may be eligible for a BC OneCard that will enable you to borrow materials from our library. Click here for details. All other non-residents of RDKB may join the library for an annual fee of $25.00.
- Your first library card is free.
- Report Lost/stolen cards immediately. The card will be replaced for $2.00.
- The cardholder is responsible for all materials borrowed on his/her card and all overdue charges levied.
- Library cards are non-transferable and must be presented to borrow materials. If you forget your card, we will be happy to hold your books until you return with your card (Maximum of 2 days).
